PSC CC Team News 19.8.10

Hi everyone
FIVE WEEKS TODAY TILL IRXC2010!!!!

Great to see 71 out of the 83 team members out at Halswell today. You did some great work in wet conditions but I was very impressed with the way you went about your reps up the hill as teams and also the speed at which you attacked both high points of the Quarry - great stuff! The hill training has paid off and you all look very strong! From Monday we move into more speedwork and racing mode, having set a strong aerobic and hill base.

Please note that if you are in the 11-14 Age Grades and registered with a club, you have to the enter the NZ Road Championships on Saturday September 4th, by MIDNIGHT SUNDAY 22 AUGUST. For entries go to:

Find a partner to run with for this event
or we will get one for you, 2 persons x 2 x 1km laps..... Runner 1 does a 1km lap (on grass with hills - spikes may be worn) and then hands onto Runner 2 who does their lap, then Runner 1 does another lap and Runner 2 does the final lap. It is a handicap event, so the slower pairs start and the faster pairs start later, meaning everyone has a chance to win.
